“In pursuit cycling, every watt counts. The difference between a PR and a missed opportunity can come down to maintaining the perfect aero position and never breaking form. I'd lose precious watts every time I had to glance down at my bike computer to check my speed or heart rate. Those little disruptions add up.

As the current U23 Irish National Record holder in the Individual Pursuit, my training is meticulously structured around specific power targets and aerodynamic optimization. I face a constant compromise: either maintain perfect position and guess at my metrics, or sacrifice a few watts by breaking position to check my bike computer.

engo3 Cyclist changed the game for me. Now I get all my key metrics—average speed, heart rate, duration—right in my line of sight while staying in the pursuit position. I can focus on my effort, stay fully aerodynamic, and squeeze every ounce of efficiency out of my ride. It's been a nice boost to my training, and I'm confident it'll help me break the national record for the Individual Pursuit this year.

The psychological benefit has been equally valuable. The pursuit is as much a mental challenge as a physical one—the ability to push through intense discomfort while maintaining perfect technique requires absolute focus. By eliminating the distraction of checking metrics, I remain completely present in the effort, resulting in more consistent power application throughout the entire event.

As I target breaking the national record for the Individual Pursuit this year, engo3 Cyclist has become an essential component of my preparation. The technology doesn't just provide data—it integrates that data into my performance without compromising aerodynamics or focus.

For any track cyclist serious about performance optimization, engo3 Cyclist offers a competitive advantage that's difficult to overstate.

Everything runners ask, answered.

Will I even notice a difference?

The engo3 uses fixed tinted lenses (category 3), perfect for very sunny conditions. The engo3 Photochromic features photochromic lenses that automatically adapt to light levels (cat. 0 to 3), making it ideal for changing light conditions.
