The work behind the display: three months of software updates

Sommaire

Since launch, most of our work has gone into the software behind your glasses. It's the part that decides whether you can trust your data mid-effort, so it's where we've spent the last three months.

For Garmin users

If you train with Garmin, a few things should feel different now.

  • Pace is more accurate on laps and structured workouts, so what you see during intervals matches what you're actually running.
  • We reduced display latency, so your data updates closer to real time.
  • On Android, the connection with Garmin devices is more stable, and you can now shift the screen position inside your field of view right from the app.

For Apple Watch users

For Apple Watch, we fixed something more annoying. After the watchOS 26.5 update, the ActiveLook app started crashing when you started an activity on several models. That one came from the Apple update itself, and we moved fast on it. It's resolved now.

We're conscious that the experience with Apple Watch is still not perfect, and we're working hard to improve it within our constraints.

The takeaway

None of this is a finish line. Software is never really done, and we're already working on the next round of updates. Thanks for pushing us to make it better.

Everything runners ask, answered.

Will I even notice a difference?

The engo3 uses fixed tinted lenses (category 3), perfect for very sunny conditions. The engo3 Photochromic features photochromic lenses that automatically adapt to light levels (cat. 0 to 3), making it ideal for changing light conditions.
